Subject: M1 install on 2003?
IP: Logged

Message:
I just recieved my M1 intake and before installing have a few questions. Will the timing belt work with the offset A/C brackets? This is particularily inport to me since I have a Vortech supercharger and the belt size is not stock (and the size is unknown).

Also, can I reuse the existing water neck? These two issues were unclear in the instructions and I have seen conflicting info posted.

Thanks,
Scott

Which intake did you buy, the 2bbl. or the 4bbl.? If you have the 4bbl. version you need the smaller idler pulley from Randy Pyle and a water neck from a LA motor. If you have the 2bbl. everything is a direct bolt-on. You can find good instructions for the 2bbl. here http://www.madrt.com/m1install.html and if you have the 4bbl. here http://www.steigerperformance.com/ under product documentation MPI intake install guide.
