whenever i shift from park to drive or reverse and back, there`s a strange winding-grinding noise , sort of like when you wind up one of those toys that roll on the floor. is this normal? fluid checks good

Hey, I have the same problem with my 2002 cc automatic. What model is your truck> I asked in a post under the "V6" board, but described it a bit different than you did. I think your description is better.
I would really like to find out what this is because there is no way its normal, and the dealership says its fine. And no error codes are coming up, so I really dont know.
Any info. anyone? It would be greatly appreciated!
