I have a 99 3.9 dakota sport 4X4, I need to know what transmission I have in my truck.(I'm over sea's right know and cannot check for myself since my truck is acroos the world. I just wanted to order a shift kit so when I get back I can throw it in.

you have the 42re tranny
...but...
the A500, A518, A618, 42RH, 44RH, 46RH, 42RE, 44RE, and 46RE use the same kit... so you cant really go wrong.
