WELL.....The same two trucks are STILL for sale 9 months later! You can still pull up Burgin's window sticker, but East Tennessee removed their sticker; Hhhummm...

Heh'...they should go for a steal now. The manufacturer gives the dealership about a 6 month supply of money for each vehicle, so it can be maintaned on the lot. After which the period ends, they run out of money, and now they're spending money out of their own pocket just to keep the truck on the lot!

The 2 of the best times to buy a new vehicle is when the vehicles are in this situation....where they've been sitting at the dealership for months, and losing money every day, they're itching to get rid of em.

And 2...as soon as they got on the lot.the faster they get rid of them, the more money they get to pocket from the "maintence cash"

But then again all dealers are crooks!

Both of these dealers are notorious for their add-on (pack) stickers of $1000+. Easy way to run customers off, when you have to work to get down to the MSRP. A good source told me that dealer add-on stickers are just a BS numbers game dealers use to show higher (imaginary) trade-in value on the customer's used vehicle.

10 months and counting...At least Burgin has given their R/T a place of honor in the showroom now. East Tennessee's sits out in the weather. Somebody drive 'em so the tranny seals won't leak!

Now when you buy a R/T in Canada and bring it to the US, the warranty is void. I was just informed that by a 5 star Dodge Dealership.

Eleven months for the Orphan R/T's. One more month, and they've sat around for a YEAR! By the way, since I did my "monthly check" on the babes today, I noticed that www.dodge.com added dealer-finder maps to the search function. Pretty neat, actually. Can you imagine these trucks being passed over even with the best rebates and terms imaginable the past 11 months? Amazing.

I was reminded of this old post, albeit in a different way, this week. Since the gas prices went up 35 cents plus a gallon lately, a Amythest R/T RC and a Durango R/T have shown up in nearby yards with "for sale" signs. MPG woes are keeping R/T's off the roads, it seems.
