They retard the ignition timing and you lose hp.
2000 4.7 CC auto, clear corners, Magnaflow catback, Kenne Bell s/c, Aquamist water injection.

how can you tell if this was dont to my 01 4.7l quadcab? there was a reprograming done. (something is writen under the hood) but it did not say anything about it.

Check the last letters on the sticker they put on computer. AA -AG =O.K. Suffix AH is the bad one.
