where on my truck can i find the id# to get touch up paint? is it just the VIN number or is it something different? i want to know because i am gonna paint the ugly black plastic that is around the radio and such. '96 3.9L v6

The paint codes for the colors of your truck should be on a sticker in the glove box. That is where mine are.
