Subject: 40 series Flows..supposed to be loud?
IP: Logged

Message:
Well I got the exhaust totally done today and the flowmasters arent as loud as I thought they were gonna be! It is the single 3 inch in and dual 2 and a half out 40 series and they arent delta flows either! It has the raspy throaty sound I was looking for but not as loud as i wouldve liked! I have a catco for it but didnt have the time they needed to install it because they claimed the needed to remove the cross member to get to it! Will the cat loudin it up at all? If not Imma have to put some summit cutouts on her!

Thanks

Put turn downs about 1 foot after the muffler. THEN it'll be loud. Trust me!

yeah, after about 10 minutes of driving mine gets loud as hell at about 2 grand on up. mine is a delta flow though, but shouldnt make that much of a difference.

lol if they have ro remove the crossmember to swap a cat...take it somewhere else as obviously they dont know what theyre doing. ive had my cat messed with 3 times now, and no shop has even mentioned the crossmember.

btw.. i had a 40 series on my r/t for about 2 years.. finally swapped it out cuz for a spintech cuz i couldnt stand sounding like everything else on the block. the 40 series gets better with mileage.. i dont know why, it just does

Thanks guys!

yeah the crossmember thing had me a bit concerned about these guys! But they did a really good job on it! Very clean and straight! I'll take it somewheres else for the cat for sure!
