Put the Key in the ignition
Turn the key to the "Run" position (The one right below start)
1 Move back to the "On" Position
2 Turn the key to the "Run position
3 Move back to the "On" position
4 Turn the key to the "Run position
5 Move back to the "On" position
The codes will appear in the odometer, flashing the codes, one by one, and then it will flash "P DONE" when you've reached the end of the codes.

I had the Same prob on my 99 R/T I would check all the fuel in jectors and clean them out with CArb cleaner the diff it makes is amazing...if it is a V8 5678 Fuel injectors are usualy the most clogged... it is easy to do your self if this doesnt fix it maybe check your plug wires make sure they are not arking or do a gas pressure test...
