Is the dealer the only place to get both filters? I went to a few part stores and their books only show one filter. If you can get both does anyone know part numbers?

I believe so. I just changed mine and did look in some of the local auto parts stores and the ONE filter they had listed was NOT the same filter. I saw the 'puter screen one guy looked at as he went to grab the filter and I noticed the trans description for my year truck did not match what I had. My guess would be it is probably the same most everywhere else.
The 2nd filter is some sort of spin-on filter that is supposedly very tough to get at spot on the outside of the trans and the parts manager that I deal with told me a reason why it wasn't that critical to change but sorry, I can't remember what the reason was. I did not change it and come to think of it I never looked for it either.
My advice, buy the filter at the dealer so you know it will work.
Good luck
