 Subject: Transfer Case Handle ? 2000DodgeDakota

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4wd. I recently noticed that when I'm driving, accelerating, stopping, the handle that shifts my truck into 4wd moves about 1/2-1 inch. I went under the truck and looked at all the engine mounts and transmis.mount and they all look good. Is this handle moving normal? ...Or did I just never notice it before? Thanks!

Mine moves on my 96 dakota, when I acceracte hard it moves more, but only about 3/4 inch tops.
