Thank god this portion of my modifications is done! That fan clutch is a pain in the ass to remove, new throtle body was a breeze, though I did have to dremel the Airhat for a PERFECT air tight fit. Tip, use a dremel and the cone shaped stone to modify it, I will use it on ALL plastic and ABS for now on, it makes it clean and easy and you can really make it perfect.

On the throtle body I also had to go to a 24 hour Walmart to get some bolt's and washers for the Air Hat hold down's, I also used the dremel to totally slice the bracket that restricts air flow down to nothing, then polished it. I am amazed at how well the dremel took care of this.

Mounting the Black Magic was fun, as was wiring it. On my 98 5.2L 4x4 the AC relay wire is the BLUE one in case someone else runs into this I hope the FYI helps out.

New computer is in it as well. Shift points, redlines, cruise control setting's, and a lot of other stuff done to it is amazing when I get on the throttle.

Now I'm REALLY looking forward to the Powerdyne getting here. I'm sure the new CPU is limited by the stock air box, the supercharger will sure change that.

I chose not to put in the 24# injector's yet until I have both the IAT and supercharger in, then I need to go buy some dyno time to tune her in.

I'm stoked, worked my ass off. Thanks Bernd for the information and tips on some of these items, I also found and invaluble reference from a post of yours back in 98 on the Fan Clutch. Also worth noting is my big ass bolt was a standard lefty lousy. Lost a little bit of skin on that damn boat anchor but it's gone now. I just hope she will stay cool in the GA heat!

Goodnight,

Shawn
