Hey 99SolarR/T Did you paint all the trim yourself or did you have a bodyshop do it? If you did it, where did you get the paint/ how did you do it. Thanks

blakdak01, I did use the stock foglights, with some modification--they still fit, but were sunken in, since the new bumper cover sticks out a little more in the front. I ended up just enlarging the existing holes in the plastic mounting case, and then replaced the screws with nuts and bolts to get the necessary play for adjustment.

Canadian QB, they are just the bulbs. I wouldn't pay over $500 just for a simple light upgrade. I got the whole set of bulbs for around $30, and there is a definite difference--much crisper white color. I think the euros look much better than the stock red, but thats just a personal thing. The main reason I got the seat covers was to bring some color on the interior. I'd much rather have plain yellow and black, but I haven't seen any, and am not about to shell out hundreds for Katzkin or Wet Okole. Finally, neons just look cool, so get over it.

hyp0cracy, it is made by SnugTop (similar to Checkmate, but with better hinges, locking mechanisms, and the same price). It was $379 I think, and came in a textured black finish, which I had filled and painted.

Bud, I had a bodyshop do it all, but I did the sanding, cleaning, etc. I wanted to make sure all the handles came out smooth, so that took a bit of time.

Love your exhaust. Exhaust that exits before the rear tire is so under-rated, in my opinion.

I have that setup on my QC with a Ravin, however I (well not me, but the Midas people) couldn't get the exhaust as snug with the body as you did. I'm guessing you went over the chassis?

Thanks for the compliment, The Dude. I had never seen this setup on a Dak before I had it done, and I get stares and compliments on it all the time. Actually, it goes under the chassis, but with very little clearance. I went to a custom shop near my house, and told him exactly what I wanted, and it came out perfect. This guy is an artist when it comes to bending pipe. The only complaint I have is that he didn't do a great job of installing new hangers. The exhaust system came loose a couple times, but I fixed it with a couple brackets and bolts, and its good as new now, just needs some polishing...

Randy, I LOVE the Shaker Hood, but I probably won't upgrade my hood until I stop using it as a daily driver. It seems like every time I wash it, another stone chip or small ding shows up, and that would really start pissing me off if I had a sweet hood.

rivermaniac, the exhaust is routed underneath the frame. The pipes are one piece, and are bent to get them under the frame, then bent up again to get the tips up near the body. I used a single in/dual out Flowmaster close to the stock muffler location, and the shop did the rest. I would imagine just about any muffler shop that bends its own pipes could perform the work, but I don't think the pipes are available pre-bent unless you buy one of the aftermarket systems, which seem really overpriced to me. My whole setup only ran about $200, with aluminized pipes, muffler and labor.
