Subject: Dealer didn't do anything!?!?!

I took my 2000 4.7 sport quad cad 4x4 auto tran to the dealer yesterday. One of the problemss I needed fixed was the stalling out when start on cold mornings. I mentioned to them that there should be a PCM upgrade to solve this. When I got the truck back, they said there were no error codes so they did nothing. Does anyone know the details about this PCM upgrade (tsb #, etc)?? Also, the sqeaking noise from the front, they said it is the front sway bar bushings. Any one else have this problem??

This seems to be a problem with the 2000 4.7. It has somthing to do with the emmitions. They changed it on the 2001 buy adding another catalitic converter. There is no problem with your truck just the idle is set to low to meet some stupid emmition standered. I have a friend who brought his truck in and they just sent it away because there computer scanner didn't pick anything up. I would love to take there stupid computer scanner and shove it up there a** somtimes. You got to go there and tell them to reprogram the idle nomatter what there comp says.

I have not had any problem with stalling. I am a little concerned about the idle though. My 2001 Dak Quad Cab idles around 600 Rpm and that seems awful low?
