For all the toys and gadgets we can buy, has any one installed the digital replacement light bulbs? At least they look digital. I seen these at Walmart. These are for the tail lights.

LED bulbs work ok, but they've got their own issues... They're generally not as bright as regular bulbs, so during the day they're not as visible. LED's only shine light in one direction (to the rear), so you usually can't see them from the side of the truck unless the LED bulb has extra bulbs facing sideways. LED's also have a different resistance factor than a traditional bulb, so they usually flash quite a bit faster.

i have 2 in each front clear corner, the bulbs are clear , but when on they are red, and in the back i have 2 in each light, so a total of 8 bulbs, and each one was 12 bucks, anyways the ones in the back just stopped working for some reason and i got pulled over for having no brake lights a few nites ago, but i fixed the problem. they looked good in my APC 100% clears, and they were pretty bright. the main reason for them i think is for the front if u have clears, b/c it looks really good having it all clear and not really seeing any bulbs, i dont like how most of the daks on the net i see have 2 blackish or orange holes in each clear out, these look really good, also they come in amber and red
