I got a problem that the dealer in my town cannot identify. Thought I would ask the experts here.
When driving at about 20mph i start to hear a thumping or taping type noise coming somewhere from the rear area. As you go faster the noise speeds up in relation to your speed. After about 45 50 you can no longer here the noise. However I think it is still there, road noise is just louder. The dealer has had it 3 times and tried 3 different things. They have replaced the rear brake pads, then replaced the rotors, and have also said that they took the rear tranny apart and checked it. After each thing they did they say it is fixed. I get in drive and there the noise is again. I am at a loss as is the dealer. They are now saying with time it will go away. Anyway any ideas. it is a 2000 Quad cab slt 4.7 4x4 with 11000 miles on it now.

Thanks for any help
