 Subject: PIAA Fog Light Mount Kit

Anyone ever use the PIAA Fog light mount kit '97-'01 Daks??? Part Number is #30280. It says there is supposed to be a predrilled hole in the bumper directly above the hole in the air dam for the lights. Well, there isn't. The "directions" also show the bumper as "C"-channel steel with the opening toward the engine. Do the '02 Daks have different front bumpers on them, or are these mounting brackets and directions full of sh#t, or am I just a dumbass?? It may be a little of all three!!!

I just had the same problem, I own a 2002 sxt. The bumpers are different. You should get the factory fog light mounts for a 2003 sport. That's what I had to do I can send you the part numbers if you like. Email me if you like. jbair2@rochester.rr.com. I had to return the PIAA kit, the factory mounts were only about 10.00 for the pair. Slide up under a 2003 sport and you'll see what you have to do.

I sent you an email requesting the part numbers for the factory mounts. I want to add these lights to my 03 SXT RC 4x4, Did you just use the PIAA wiring kit? I am hoping to use the factory wiring (Splicing into the plugs) adding the factory headlamp switch and relay. Just to make the install as factory as possible.

There was no factory wiring with my SXT for foglamps. I installed a wiring kit when I put the Pilot Fog Lights on. (I mounted them very half-assedly to the airdamn itself. They held strong, but shook too much).

I tried to get the brackets from my dealer today and the stupid bi%ch behind the parts counter tried to tell me they only sold the whole fog light assembly and could not just get the brackets. Could you please post the part number so I can call her back and make her look that number up. Then when she says, "wow, I guess you can just get the brackets", I can reach back and slap her for being an idiot.
