I picked up an El cheapo orbital polisher from my friendly neighborhood super center last week. I used the terry cloth pad to apply meguiers polish, it worked great. However when I used the lambs wool pad to buff it didn't work worth $hit!! It hardly removed any polish, so I finished buffing by hand. I repeated the process with meguires wax and got the same results. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and by the way this is a black 2002 quad.

Go to www.autodetail.com and read up on some tips.
Use a random orbital polisher.

man ur supposes to take the wax off with the terry cloth dude. put the wax on with a foam pad. the wool pad is for rubbing compound man u put rubbing compoound on with the wool pad. i have a black dak. 1998 my truck looks like it just got painted. i start out with mequires light rubbing compound then do 2 coats of polish then a coat of wax. the trick is to put the polish on and the wax on vertically up and down because it hides the swirl marks. try that and let me know what you think. make sure you use all mequires though. ur truck will bling like crazy man. i do peoples cars all the time for them when they see mine and how it shines.

Bought some additional terry cloth pads this weekend, they made a huge difference in the gloss factor (or as nmud7 stated "Bling") and did a much better job removing polish/wax than the lambswool. Thanks again!!!
