Well it's that time of year again, time for the 5th annual Foxwoods meet in Ledyard, CT. I've been real busy and haven't had any time to really plan anything official. So I thought we would just wing it this year. I was thinking we could meet up in the usual spot, check out the trucks, take some pictures and maybe mark up the parking lot again (the Dana 60 I have ordered for my '96 should be installed by then, Damn weaka$$ 8 1/4", but that's another story). After that, a little change from the usual, we're going to caravan from Foxwoods over to the roof of the main parking garage of Mohegan Sun. The group can split up as usual for a little time at the tables and slots and then gather together again for dinner at one of the great restaurants there at the Casino.
So here's the plan:
Meet Saturday April 26th, 12 noon, SW corner of Lot #9, Foxwoods Casino, Ledyard, CT.
Check out the trucks, take some pictures and accept any challenges to my “Foxwoods Burn-Out King” title.
About 1-1:30. A short caravan over to Mohegan Sun Casino(about 15min away).
A little time on the floor and then gather again for dinner.
At that point, those who want to split off, can, and any one who is interested can head back to the Hartford area with me (about a 45min ride) to cruise the Pike.
The Berlin Turnpike is credited with being the birthplace of the American Saturday Night Cruise. I’m a 3rd generation participant. Tons of ricers, Rods and Muscle Cars with several traffic lights that are a perfect ¼ mile apart. WARNING! While there are thousands of people cruising the pike each weekend, the PD and DMV also make themselves very visible. Be stupid at your own risk.
