I'm real sorry to inform all of you guys about this, but I am about to buy a Chevy. I found a better deal on a Silverado 1500 V6 than I could on a Dakota V6.
So if anybody in the Waco, TX, or Granbury, TX area is looking to buy a 91 Dakota V8 I'll now be selling mine for $1000.

The Vortec 4300? I think the only thing worse than a Dodge Dakota with the Magnum 3.9 is a 1500 Silverado with the Vortec 4300.
The Vortec 4200 is a beautiful engine and would be good in a full size truck but I think you'll be disappointed with the lack of performance in the Vortec 4300.
V6's in trucks just plain suck, period.

The 4.3 had a better tourqe line that the 3.9 or even the newer 3.7I5 of GM.
But it should be replaced by the I5.

I hope it isn't too late. Get a v8 Chevy instead of the v6. Same gas mileage but more power. The v6 may be why you got such a "good deal" on it. Nobody else wants it.
