Worth a try, the uppers are easy to get to and drill a fitting into them. The problem is the design of the ball joint sucks. The Moog "Problem Solver" or the Spicer (Napa) use a low friction ball socket design, which is a highly polished ball, to keep the joint from grinding itself to death.

hi 2ndak
i did drill and installed grease fittings
on my 2000 quad cab 2x4. but as houptee said its the design of the oem ball joints they suck. i went ahead a installed mogg ball joints. they come with grease fittings. not a bad job to do your self with the right tools.
have fun

I have a 02 Quad cab 4x4 4.7 and use the 4x4 because where I live I need it on the high slop dirt and rocky road I live on. At 17,000 miles i complained I was hearing a pounding noise. After replacing the sway bar bushings twice, I finally convinced the dealer shop forman that the ball joints were bad! They replaced uper control arms and ball joints. It appears that when installed at the factory they were dry. The passengers side were all but GONE! After checking with three other Quad Cab owners they too have had the same problem. Maybe there is a weak link showing up. The only way to get a zerk fitting on a ball joint is to get an after market non-Mopar ball joint. Good luck.
