Hey guys, my friend and I went four wheeling last
night i the mud, mostly puddles. But anyhow, the
transmission wont shift out of 2nd into 3rd. When
you let off the gas it feels as if there is
absolutely no compression. The vehicle is a 1997
Ford Expedition 5.4L 4x4. I assume this is the
E40 OD tranny. the ATF fluid is red and not
milky, I beleive this would mean it has no water
in it. Any mechanics could help me out on this
one?
the vehicle has 76K miles.
Also the Ford dealership qoutes $2600 for rebuilt
tranny. Now is that mostly labor? Anyone dealt
with AAMCO recently adn have some feelings on that
shop? Please, we need your help.
