My 2 year old just crammed my cd player full of change, I got all the quarters out cause they are big enough but there is still at least one nickel jammed in there. Any one got any ideas on how to get it out ??

first of all, i'm sorry but that's funny. but i would say if u think ur competent enough, everything that's built can be taken apart and put back together. know what i mean? just hope that the coins didn't mess up the mechanical function of the rubbers that feed in the cd, or that the laser doesnt get messed up if the coins got in that far. maybe take it in to the place that installed it, or any electronics repair shop. most expensive way, unless under warranty- the dealer.

I would look at it as it can't get any more broken, so anything you do will most likely be an improvement. I'd take it appart. At least pull it out of the dash and try shaking any leftover change out.

Look at it this way, how many people can say their trucks earn them money?

Im still working on it, the cd's still feed and eject fine, they just wont play. I doubt the dealer would help me out on this deal, since its totally my fault, so they would probably just laugh.

I say pull it from the dash and see what you can do.

Another good option may be to replace it with one of the fold down face aftermarket units? These are under $200, cheaper than trying to have a factory unit fixed...
