Nothing major. Here's the truck I have now:
'02 Dak Quad Cab 3.9 v6. I changed the
muffler and added a Turbo City dual air filter
setup, and changed the throttle body to a
Dodge v8 model.

I want to get a new '03 4.7 v8 QC with more
features... Do you think the dealer will have a
problem when they do the appraisal on the old
truck? Anyone have experience there?

thanks in advance,
jim

Just put back the old filter setup if you are concerned about it. You shouldn't have a problem though.

Your going to take a major hit just trading in a 1 yr old truck, I wouldn't give them anything more than you have to. Unless you know the dealer personally they will not like seeing mods on such a new truck, Remember they have to warranty it for the balance of the 7-70k

I got mine before the 7-70 stuff - I got it earlier
in the model year than later... I think I'll put the
original airbox and whatnot on but leave the
throttle body - too much work there.

I know I'll be taking a hit on the 1 model year
old truck but if there was ever a time, now's it.
Plus, it was the wife's idea. ; ) The next truck
will be the one I keep for 7-8 years so long as
it's reliable.

Thanks for the responses,
jim

Dont plan on it being reliable if it is a Dakota. Maybe three or four years worth but 7 or 8, I dont see it.

Whats the dealer going to give you for it on a trade, also where about are you located. I may be interested in throwing you an offer on the chance its a 5spd. let me know, that is if your not cross country either. they're probably going to rip you on that deal. (i'm in ohio)

Dan,

I haven't taken it in yet, I probably will on
Thursday... I'm in SE Michigan. Sorry, it's not a
5 spd.

I priced it out on Kelley Blue book and I'm
pretty happy with what they said -- I've always
gotten what I want (at least KBB value) out of
my trade ins. I thought they'd be at least a little
motivated to sell one to me given the current
economic conditions. I'll find out Thursday I
guess!

Make sure the dealer gives you a decent warranty this time

Al,

Tell me about it! I bought just before they
came out with that great warranty. I'll get it this
time.
