in a sense yes its still a neon.. but its a road and track neon.. hense the r/t, better suspension and handling package, and motor upgrades..

Actually, "R/T" seems to be losing out to "SRT" lately. R/T started with the 1966 Dodge Charger, I believe. It's curious that the latest R/T Daks are only labeled on the tailgate. I always thought the "puffy" R/T logos from the Intrepid would look good on a Dak.

Now thats just Wrong!
First it couldn't keep up with my 4.7.Second the kid thought he could get me at the Light and third when i buy a new Dodge I pay cash for them.
The Neon R/T and the SRT4 do not have the same engines,I think the New PT cruiser and the SRT4 share the same engine tho.

Hey the SRT-4 will run 14 flat at a little over 100 mph stock!!! A stock 4.7 isnt even close to that.

actually....r/t started in 1967 with the coronet r/t...fyi, and the srt means street racing performance, and the standard neon doesnt have the same engine as the srt, it has a 2.0 versus a 2.4, but i will still stick with my dak and my 340 duster
