I am bring my 1999 slt v6 club cab in for service tomorrow for two issues.
1st, I have an almost impossible starting condition when the truck is cold. If I pump the gas the truck will start, but it will shut off a number of times until fully warmed up. Then it runs just fine?
2nd, the Temp. gauge is showing half way when i first start the engine & goes up to just before the red line. The thing is, the engine is not heating up. The coolant is at the correct level & the engine feels normal also. Look at whether your gauge could be giving a bad reading.
