I know it's an age old question now, but after going thru about a 1000 posts, I still don't have a clear answer as to what pads to put on my 01 QC w/ the Powerslots. Some say the ceramics overheat the rotors and crack them, lots say the combo works fine. Raybestos says the pads don't need to be broken in, while other peeps here say they doI want better stopping (obviously) and less dust. But I don't want to buy new rotors anytime soon. Who has the hot setup and whatchu got??? Thanks.

I have Hawk pads with my powerslot. I can stop on a dime. But then again anything is better the warped stock junk. I have noticed less brake dust. Had them for about three months.

Dump the Powerslots, and go with the RotoTech rotors, and run any good set of Semi-metalic pad.

I paid for the powerslots to replace the stock pos rotors, went with the ceramic pads. Love the pads almost zero dust but the damn powerslots didn't last me any longer than the stock ones! The ceramic pads weren't even hurt though, so I went down to autozone and put a set of cheapie 40 dollar set and I figure I'll just do it once a year or so and forget it. been 2 and a half months now with no problems.
