while foot off gas and coasting, then you hit the gas the vehicle hesitates and then bucks to get going almost like it's not catching. had dealer run diagnostic on it, and they claim cam and crank sensor. replaced crank prob still there, going tomorrow for cam, wondering if I'm getting jobbed! anyone with any ideas or have had prob before would love your help!!! 94 dakota 4x4 w/5.2L. Thanks in advance

I have the same problem and that is also what is was told. We have the same truck also. How many miles on your truck.

Caution to all Dodge Dakota V8 5.2L owners. I know several people including myself that have the same problem (while foot off gas and coasting, then you hit the gas the vehicle hesitates and then bucks to get going almost like it's not catching). Mine has been at the shop (Carter Dodge) in Connecticut for 6 days now and although they can reporduce the problem they have no idea how to fix it. It's like they either don't care or they can't. This is my last Dodge ever!
