ey' guys I have the diagram for creating the plate to use the stock belt tensioner. It's 2 pages and I was going to scan it in and post a link but I wanted to know if anyone wants it first before I do it.

My other idea was to post it and see if anyone would be able to make and sell them to us. The directions call for a piece of aluminum, I forgot them at work but if I remember right it's basically a 1/4in. thick plate that's shaped like a triange, 2 sides being 4in. and the other being 5.something then 3 holes drilled through it so it's pretty small. Anyhow I'd be willing to pay like 20-25 bucks or so for the plate, I have no way to make it and I'm sure the materials to make it would be under a buck or two. Not that anyone would be interested in my little 20 bucks but if 15-20 powerdyne users wanted to prevent slip by implementing the stock tensioner it would be worth someone's while to bang out 20 of these in a day.

So should I scan and post the diagram?

thanks,
-m

The stock tensioner wont hold near tight enough to keep the belt from slipping Mike :)

Joe, It will stop slipping when used with the Powerdyne adjustable tensioner. It just allows for more belt wrap which prevents slipping. I got the instruction from Scott Q over at Delphi R/T forums and I still have it somewhere as well.

Lew, I just got the 9lb pulley from scott.. sharp piece, anodized blue. Anyhow yeah he's the one that gave me the diagram, joe what's up man! this goes along with the pd tensioner, I'll upload it when I get to work tommarow. Plus scott's 9lb pulley has 7 ribs so I can get a nice gatorback 7 rib belt and in combination with the added stock tensioner I hope prevent any slippage at all. These plans will work for anyone, it's NOT exclusive to those running scott's 9lb pulley.

that is more than a 20-30 dollar part if you are only making 20 or so. what is the hole dia and how is the middle hole located? what is the size and location of the key way. i could check cost to fabricate but i need more info. what mat'l would you like them made out of? i would suggest 60-61 but i think you can get stronger stuff in the us.

chris,
The hole for the key is 3/8" and it's made from .25" aluminum. Could you reccomend a way for me to do this w/o expensive tools? Isn't here some type of fine-tooth hand saw that can cut through .25" aluminum plate, or a disc for my dremel that I can use to go through it?

Thanks man,
-m

aluminium is easy to cut. you could probably use your dremel. make sure you get at least 6061 t6 material and all of the rounds and holes need to be smooth or that is the spot you will get a crack. good luck

thanks chris! found this guy on ebay selling sheets for 25 bucks, I think I'll have a hack at it. I'll post pics and whatnot when done, it'll take a few weeks though I've got tons of house sh*t to do.

I am a manufacturing engineer and can have these plates laser cut from aluminum plate if desired. The more pcs the lower the cost (you would be spreading out the setup and programming charge over more pieces). I can put the design into CAD and have quoted. I would think these would be more like $35 though. I can check if enough people are interested. What about using steel? I could lighten it up by taking out some material.

I can do this part easily. Does anyone have any better measurements. Especially for the hole centerlines? If someone could supply me with a supercharger bracket that would be ideal (to be returned). I can make it match the bracket perfectly and will look 100% professional.
