There are quite a few articles about how current ideas on how oil is formed can be way off, they current ideas are based on very old science and there seems to current science that would seem to prove the old theories wrong. Here's two quick examples:

There are thosands of articles to show how global warming is not understood. The biggest thing that I question in the "experts" models (the ones they use to obtain the desired results) is how clouds will effect everything. they actaully assume the worst possible result that increase surface temperatures will form more high altitude water vapor and even further warm the planet (all to the massive tune of 2-3 degrees, mostly in the winter and centered over Siberia and Canada.) What if the heat forms more lower clouds that cool the earth, and then help balance the temperature back out. What about natural effects (a far greater contributer then man made effects)?
I've heard the enviromentalist arguments and studies, you can't read a paper, magazine or turn on the TV without hearing thier guesses, maybe you should be a little more open minded and look at some of the other science that is out there. I'll have no problem switching to other resources and driving a moped when gas hits $20/gallon. But it needs to hit that price because we have truley exhausted our supplies and supply -vs- demand dictates it.

No sh1t.

"Since I have absolutely no knowledge about the subject or any factual foundation of anykind, I will tell you what I feel about it instead."

Sweet, just what I've always wanted, another fool's pathatic emotions.

I am no enviormentalist by any means, but I am a conservationist. I don't want to ransack the land clean of resources. It's my belief that everything's price should be reflected affordingly. Scarcity. In this apprach, we should theoretically never reach 0, unless by an "act of God" or other factor outside human control.

"Those damn Americans use so much resources, blah blah blah!" Well no sh1t, we're one of the top industrialised nations of the world. How can you even compare our nation's consumption directly with others? That's absurd!! Of course we use a large portion of the oil, look at who we are. Just don't look at numbers, look at the entire picture.
