Subject: ABS and brake lights on update
IP: Logged

Message:
Just got back from the dealer and they said the hydraulic control unit ( I think that's what they said) needs to be replaced, dealer said it controls the ABS. They had to order the part, service writer told me he never saw this code come up before. Also just found out before I went that once you hit 36,000 miles you have to pay a deductible, my truck had 35,779 when they wrote it up. I know other people on my previous post about this subject mentioned a speed sensor could be bad but they said the rear-end speed sensor will effect the 0 to 15 mph reading on the speedometer and the sensor on the tranny ( if bad) effects the mph reading at speeds over 15. service writer said that's one way to tell what's wrong.
