Subject: Clicking when stopped ???
IP: Logged

Message:
Whenever I come to a stop (while in drive), there is a clicking noise that I can only guess to be something in the tranny. Whenever I shift into neutral, or let it roll forward, it goes away. Got plenty of tranny fluid--plus truck only has about 12,000 miles on it--so I don't know what to think. It does it most of the time--not all. And I know if I take it to the dealer, it won't do it and I'll feel like an idiot. Anybody else experienced something like this ??

I have the same truck. I haven't heard any clicking on mine other than fan clutch or accessory drive/tensioner. My Caravan does click when stopping but that's the solenoid pack. I don't believe the 42RE has a solenoid pack.
