I have a suspision that the duals may actually be hurting your horse power. Don't know about the V6 but the impression I have gotten from reading all the exaust posts is a single 3" seems to be the perfect happy medium. At this point I am most likely going with a 3" Gibson Cat back but am not sure yet. Simply throwing duals on doesn't do what it used to. The new vehicles are finnaly tuned and everything from exasust to intake to air temp are preprogramed variables that the computer has trouble tolerating a change in. A PCM mod should help this.

Truck should finnaly arrive next week.

Back on 8/11/00 I gave Gibson my 00' QC 3.9 V6 to them for the day because they were trying to develope a catback exhaust for the Quad Cabs 3.9 V6. At that time my truck was bone stock, other than after market wheels and tires. They dyno tested it 4 times. I was asked what kind of pipe I wanted and told them I liked the dual side swept but wanted which ever gave the most power. They gave me the single 3". I was told that the split and dual swept didn't really give anything other than a more agressive sound with less HP.

Bone Stock= 125.2 Power & 170.1 Torque
3" Single= 133.8 Power & 180.5 Torque

(This is the disclaimer. I don't know a whole lot about stuff like this, so if anything I wrote seems way off, I appologize. I was only passing the info that the guy at Gibson told me and the numbers that are on my dyno sheet)

Thanks for posting the dyno results. Iv'e been hearing nothing but good stuff on the Gibson single 3" catback. 10lb gain in torque and 8hp from the catback alone on a V6!! Pretty damn good if you ask me.
