OK, i have narrowed down my choice of car to get to either a Subaru WRX or Neon SRT-4. Now from what i've heard the SRT-4 is faster than the WRX in a drag race. I don't really care because i don't plan on using this car as a draggster. I just want a car with a lot of power and cool looks. It seems to me that the WRX is a safer car, plus with its AWD i shoul dbe able ot take turns w/o spinning out my wheels. Plus, with teh way teh Subaru is built (safety features and special drive-train), wouldn't it be cheaper to insure? What do you guys think?

Tough choice. They are both cool cars. The AWD is nice for the WRX. But the price and the power for the SRT-4 is nice too.

Flip a coin.

Test drive them both. Make sure to pay attention to the comfort levels and the fit and finish. Of course, make sure to test the performance levels. Then buy the one that "stirs your soul".

This is a no-brainer for me!! The price is about the same. WRX: Race inspired design that is actualy raced in World Rally car raceing, Durable, all wheel drive, great handeling, fantastic brakes, well tuned susepension and a sweet tight 6 speed manual trans. SRT-4: Over priced, un-refined, poor brakes, poor handleing on winding roads double switch back... front wheel drive only, slopy shifter, will depricate fast, no raceing history,...... While I think highly of the Neon as cheap reliable econo car it is not a good value for a performance car when a WRX can be had for the same price!! The SRT Neons are going for $25,000 wich is insane. I think when you drive the WRX you will feel the difference in how solid it feels at the limit and how tight it feels compared to the Neon!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I love Dodge and for 21 years have always owned Dodge but I would have to say that given those two choices I would go with the WRX.

In fact there's only one choice; buy the WRX or I will.

I heard that Subarus are not easy to work on. They require a special know-how and lots of prep to do even small jobs. At least when you look under the neon, you will see something that resembles a vehicle.

only thing is you have to live near a subaru dealer to get it fixed or serviced. If your like me small town in Indiana the nearest subaru dealer is like 75 miles away. there are 5 dodge dealers within a 30 mile radius very easy to get service so I would wait until the neon comes down to list price and buy it then. would save you a chunk of change to wait, then it would be much less than the wrx.

I have driven both of these cars, and I would go with the SRT-4. The WRX is a fun car to drive but it felt very cheap. The SRT-4 was quicker off the line and felt like it was made better than the WRX.

Get the Subaru. There is now way in hell that a Neon is built better or will last as long.

thats the differance between living in large town over a small one. but my town has only about 1000 population. no traffic jams and I can pretty much do and live like I want.
