I see now that Chevy will soon be offering the Colorado, as competition for the Dakota. I knew it was a matter of time before the competition did something to be able to compare their small, wussy trucks to the dakota. It does appear that they will have a better V6 engine than the Dakota: performance wise, However - a V8 model hasn't been shown as of yet, meaning there will be no question as to who has the balls of compact trucks. I hope dodge can remedy the V6 problem in the coming years, to squash any sales of chevy's all new Colorado.

I think they are planning on the 5.3 to be in those trucks also. its goin in the Trailblazer so its a matter of timetill its offered in the pick up.
Also I hear the Dakota is getting smaller in the next couple of years but hopefully thats jsut a rumor

Information that I have read says that a 2.8 I4 and an 3.5 I5 will be the initial engines offered. The truck has the same ugly syling as the avalanche.
