Subject: Considering buying a Dakota

I'm thinking about becoming the proud new owner of a used Dakota (97-02), however I'm curious about a few things. My first question is about the axles. Do they use Dana axles like the full size Dodges? Like a Dana 35 in the rear or something? I'm having a hard time finding info on this. I'm asking because I'm trying to find out about available lockers for them, especially ARB. I've been a long time owner of Toyota pickups, but I'm getting tired of going 35 mph up hills and I'm hankerin for some good, solid V8 power. I'm worried though about the IFS on the Dakotas too. Toyota pickups all have a similar set-up, with a torsion bar and A-arm set-up. Therefore I'm concerned about what the Dakota's wheel travel is like, and what kinds of suspension lifts are out there. Also are there any companies out there that make a solid axle swap kit? Sorry, I know this is a lot of questions, but any help you guys can give would be great. Thanks.
