Message:
i've recently noticed a strange rear end "chirp" when i take off at low speeds (it's probably there all the time but the exhaust covers it up). it definatly is linked to the wheels turning as it picks up in fequency as i accelerate. wondering if anyone else has this "chirp/squeak" going on and if they know what it is. it has also just started showing up when i back up as well... thanks for any help..

Yea, it sound like the same noise I have had since almost new on my 2000 QC, I describe it as a sort of quick whoop whoop noise when accerating either gradually or moderately at low speeds, have tried to get the dealer to look at it but as usual they are clueless.

good description todd, i'll change my earlier statement to "whoop whoop"... still wonder if this could be in the rear suspension somewhere?
