Does anybody know what the torque is on the rear leaf u bolts? I got a 2001 4x4 and am thinking of taking out the smallest leaf to bring the back level with the front. Any info would be appreciated.

I wouldn't do that unless you know HOW it will affect the handling.

A better option would be adjust the front torsion bars back to the stock height. All it is is turning a bolt.

BluDak01, the leaf spring U bolts are 120 ft. lbs. and the leaf spring eye bolts are 110 ft. lbs. Hope ya got a long torque wrench or some guns for this one. Under my dropped truck it was a pain for me. Be sure you torque these while the tires are on the ground and all weight is on it. Just snug them up a lil before you drop it, but do not torque it in the air.

Thanks for the info. As far as the handling does do you think it would affect it in a good or bad way?

Can't carry as much weight in the bed. Should drop you a tad. It wouldn't be as stiff back there, but nothing major.
