 Subject: best place for Dakota insurance

I need some opinions on insurance from you guys. My truck is a 2000 Dakota SLT x-cab 2wd w/45,000 miles. I live in Flint, MI, I'm 22, and havent had a ticket or violation in 4 years. Any input would be much appreciated.

Auto insurance is regulated by the State, ie MI. Each insurer is free to set their own rates.
Common determinates used are: driver's age and driving record, vehicle catagorey, vehicle's use and yearly mileage, where it is parked when not in use, and population density where you live.

I had State Farm for 20 years. Switched to Farm Bureau to save $75 dollars A MONTH on my daughter's Civic. My former State Farm agent said they would NOT compete on price!

Progressive has the best rates for me. I live in downstate Illinois, 23, and married - $700 per 6 months. $1000 / 6 months before I was married. One bad speeding ticket (25 over speed limit) and 1 minor accident in the past 4 years.

I tried progressive, they didnt like me for some reason. They wanted over $1000 every 6 months. That just seems rediculous.

progressive's online rates were horrible when I checked them recently. I suppose I could try that again. Do you think going through a Progressive agent would help at all?
