 Subject: oil pressure gauge

i have a 1998 dakota 3.9 v6 2wd sport it has 243k miles on it in the last 30k miles the oil pressure gauge has been reading funny the oil pressure fluctuates between 15psi and 65 psi in idle when driving on the highway the pressure stays around 35 psi. i dont know why its doing this but i would like to know before it becomes a problem. thanks for the info.
