I have just leveled my 2006 dodge dakota quad cab slt 4x4 and found both lower ball joints were bad. It was still under warranty, but now I am concerned about my safety in the future. Has any one else had the same problem? My truck has only 32,000 miles on it with minimal off road use... please reply. Also I am interested in if any one has got any tire suggestions, I am looking at general grabber at2 tires, they look a lot like the bf goodrich atko tires...

My 2005 had one set of ball joints replaced last fall & was told the others were loose. OK, ignorant woman here, didn't realize something like that would be covered by warranty. Was under 30,000 and 3 yrs.....now 3 1/2 yrs and 44,000 miles and am going to try to get Dodge to cover it. Anyone had luck with em after warranty?

They sure don't make em like they used to..
Why , many advances in materials have been made..
Must be cheaping out on us, instead of improving.

I have a 2006 Dodge Dakota that I had to put in the shop today. Come to find out my upper and lower ball joints on both sides have to be replaced. It seems to me from what I have found on the internet this needs to be a recall issue.

Well I am 26 years old and I own a 2006 dodge dakota and I have had similiar problems. With only 17000 miles on it i had the dealer replace a tie rod and a wheel barron. And now with 34000 miles on it i just had another tie rod and wheel barron replaced again yesterday.
