... well not the kitty that is. 99 dakota 3.9 2wd, started rattling, running like crap, horible milage, no power.
A friend suggest we gut the catalytic conv. until I could afford a new. DONE. THEN ..... I find out about the 10 year warranty extension. Now what ?? Do you think they will replace it ? Should I go private shop and try to get reimbursed ? Make the friend buy my new one !!
I am 5 years in this truck with 160k miles, only replaced power steering pump so far. Although it kinda steers like the old wagons with a rope tied to each side, it's been a 100 mile a day trooper. HAHA. front end placement soon ... very soon.

sorry, but the fed emissions warranty is 8yr/80k miles. looks like you've passed that already. save your money and buy a hi-flow cat.

Thats a bummer. Mine is, but I have a feeling that I am gonna have a tough time convincing them to change it out considering I gutted it, even though I gutted it because it really was failing just as the warranty recall described. Think they will believe it if I say I went to sleep and the next day it was just like that ?? ... me neither ...
