Subject: HELP! stripped out seat bolt holes

So before I get started, I know this is my own damn fault but I still need help. I was uninstalling some amps from under my seats and therefore had the seats out. Well when I went to put them back in I wasn't paying enough attention and screwed one of the larger bolts from the back of the seats into one of the smaller holes in the front of the seats. So now I'm stuck with a hole that the smaller bolts won't fit into and that the larger bolts won't snug down into (screws all the way down, but won't snug down once bolt is all the way in). I need help. Has anyone else ever done this or know of a good way to fix it?

try new longer bolts and use nuts and big fender washers underneath.

check to make sure that you just didnt loose the clip or break the clip that the bolt goes into because on your seats there are clips inside the metal. i thought i stripped one of mine out then i realized that the metal clip was almost about to fall off and then i took a screwdriver and placed it right into position and put the bolt in and nice snug fit. and if the clip is gone completely then you might want to go underneath the truck and below the seat on the underside of the truck there is a foam/carpet piece that is bolted/screwed/clipped into place and remove that and see if maybe your clip fell onto that it could be possible to have the clip fall off and then out of the cover piece underneath then it is gone for good.

correction when i stated " loose the clip or break the clip that the bolt goes into because on your seats" when i said on your seats i mean the hole in your cab where your seats would go and where you would bolt through the clips are actually on the cab it self not the seats. dont want to confuse you.
