I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota LT Extend cab with a 4.7L
V8. The problem I have been experiencing is at cold startup it is very sluggish at under 1000 rpm as it works its way up to regular Idle. Sometime it will stall out after the 1st crank, then when I try to restart I have to keep it cranking for about 4-5 seconds before it will start. I have only 35000 miles on it, any suggestions on what could be wrong.

try posting this under the v8 forum. since it is not pertaining to a tsb or recall. plus you're more likely to get better/more responses there.
