 Subject: Revving, RPMS-Pedal to the Metal!

Okay slowly I am not becoming a very happy camper...I had my poor Dakota do something weird this winter...driving at 100kms had me at 4500RPMS-mechanic said it was 'okay' that it was sensor and this was normal. Tonight I pull on to the higway and had to push the pedal to the metal to get it to even get any speed up...even then I was only at 80kms when I got to the end of the lane...by the time it got to 120ish I was at 3000RPM, which seems high for my truck...any higher speeds and it made this AWEFUL noise. I have had it in twice for revving high and they say it all checks normal...less then 10,000kms on my warrenty (maybe about 5 weeks of drive time left) and I am worried...any insight?! I am going to call the dealer in the morning (I think they hate me there)
BTW my truck was built on a Wednesday! 7pm!
