 Subject: PLEASE HELP: Transmission Problem

I have a 96 Dodge Dakota 3.9L
I just rebuilt my transmission. And they used ATF-3 Trans Fluid. We just had to replace a the front fluid fitten. But anyway. My problem is, going 1st to 2nd. We get goes to 2nd it just goes back in forth from 1st to 2nd. Sometimes it works fine. Could it be the wiring harness or TV Cable. How can check to see what it is and how to fix it. Can someone give me more detail on how to adjust the cable too. PICS would be nice.
