Not certain, but I'm pretty sure that they have the same ball joints as the '00-'03, which would mean same problems. My '03 is going back to the dealer for new passenger side/upper ball joint.
The '03s and '04s got better front brakes though.
If you're looking to buy one, I wouldn't let the ball joints scare you off though, they're still great trucks and though you hear a lot about the bad ball joints, it seems that the majority of genIII Daks haven't had any ball joint problems. Loke anything else, you only hear about the bad ones.
Or... tou could wait for the '05 Daks to come out, I'd like to think that DC will have it figured out on this Generation Dak.
