I really like my Dakota. I think I'm really close to having it how I want it. Dodge did a pretty good job, but I just had to fill in the design gaps a little.
As I really hate dealing w/ my dealership, is there anywhere I can get the transmission fluid besides the dealership. I'm pretty sure I can get the filters and seals thru rockauto.com or bulkparts.com, but I didn't see anything about the tranny fluid.
And, YES, I purposely responded to the lunacy that preceded throughout this thread by posting something that actually has something to do with my truck. :o)

You can get the oil at any auto parts store, but I prefer NAPA. I believe their number is 7136 Transmission fluid. Just tell them it's a Chrysler Product. Make sure you buy 6 Qts, or you'll run short 1/3 quart. Another thing, when you go to change the 90 wt. in the differential, make sure you get a 4 oz. bottle of "friction modifier." This should be used in all "Limited-Slip" differentials, otherwise, you'll eventually burn the clutch plates. Also, you can oversize your motor oil filter so the oil stays refined better. For a 2000 4x4, the oil filter I use is a NAPA 1515. Good Luck Buddy!

Thanks JFH. I didn't realize u could get the ATF+4 outside the dealership yet. I'm gonna try NAPA on Monday. I usually use the std NAPA Gold filter for the engine oil. Oh, and I used the Redline 75W90 for my diffs when I changed them. Seems to work pretty good. Didn't have to add any modifier. The Redline site points out that their diff oil has the modifier in it already. I was kinda leary, but, 10K miles later I have no complaints. Again .. thanks for the info.

Don't you giys know that everyone laughs at you and your little mowers with all the stickers, fins, spoilers, and lack of a muffler ? I feel for you sometimes cause you don't even realize that for every 1 person that looks at your car and gives you the nod there are 10 laughing and shaking there head. your view is common and often over thought. my grand father worked for the original manufacturing plant in japan, back when they started with motor bikes, and then moved to cars via cause of stricter us regu.

Sure your gran pappy has all those wheels geek! I dont think steves showing ignorance he is showing TASTE. I myself have no problem with imports just the knobs with all the above mentioned crap all over them. It really turns A LOT of people off of imports when they look.... stupid! In most cases where an American vehicle is being modded they are spending there money and time on functional goodies not huge wings and bla bla bla. I dont really have a problem with imports its just the idiots who get a big wing, cheap exhaust, and ground effects and think they bought a ferrari. Also some of the sub cultures that grew around the cars like the lancer. Last time i checked the lancer didnt even make it into the top 10 positions of the wrc. So i say we all jump in our cars get two big bottles of NAUS, drop em both, blast through 10 seconds of the quarter mile, shift into drive 2 and finish off the next ten seconds of our quarter mile and hope we dont blow the welds on our intake manifolds.

HOLY whatever has just proved himself to be the real idiot. My uncle was ground crew in the 482nd bomb group,and was stationed on Tinian Island, his plane dropped one on Nagasaki. Another was in graves registration in Europe, ever put a blown apart body in a bag? several days after it was blown apart? The other one old enough to be in WWII never came home from Europe. My old man was a lifer and spent time in Korea in the early fifties, and I was 2 tours in Nam.
