hey all, I have an 02 4.7 dak, cc, and have this amazingly frustrating problem. I developed a vibration/clunking sound from the steering column, and i could feel it shake in the column. So, i go to the dealer and get the column replaced, which got rid of a lot of the major noises, but the wheel still clunks. So, i get new rotors and pads cuz the old ones wore out fast and also vibrated. Again, it bettered the situation but the vibration still persists. I go to dealer, again, and they give me another column and supposedly fix some other things... A few days go by and it still makes same noise, also the brake pedal feels smooth through about half of the distance, then when you push more there is a bump and then it feels very rough. The problem is worse when the truck is warm, i dont know what the problem is, 2 new columns, new brakes, and the vibration/clunking hasnt stopped, any thoughts PLEASE!! i have seen on the boards that when the trucks get hot there might be some grease problem thing, but how to fix? I am tired of going to the dealer, cuz they never hear crap, of course. I love my truck BUT HATE THE DAMN NOISE/VIBRATION/ETC... PLEASE HELP sorry bout the long post, but i figured this site is the best place to go.

if it's clunking when you are driving over a bump while your turing it's your ball joints.

it does it more when over bumps, but does it all the time anyway, i think it is somehow related to the brakes too cuz it does it more on the brakes
