I bought this vehicle 7/25/2000. It has been a money pit. The recurring problem with the CPR 08190101 Module or what ever controls keeping the car idling and running after starting is annoying, unsafe and costly. I can not rely on the vehicle to get me from
point to point. I replaced this part May 20 2002 and the vehicle was worked on for the same problem in august. It sat since then and it is now failing to idle and stops at will again. on 5/01/ 2002 the crank sensor, distributor cap and dist rotor all were replaced for the same reason. Is this a general problem? I noted two TSB's 181694 and 180393A that could be the same problem. Please advise what should be done. Regards,

you better be real careful if you do that. no lie, no joke, my cousin did just that. the idio was drunk and ended up spilling the gas on himself. he still lit the car. he ended up setting himself on fire. 3rd degree burns on over 75% of his body. is face/head was about the only part unburnt. and he stayed in the burn unit for several months. i know, or i hope you were just joking. but i figured i'd share this with you to make you think twice about actually doing this.

mattie, i hope you vented your anger, but you didn't explain the problem for us so we don't know how to suggest a solution for you.
you could try http://www.alldata.com/TSB to see if there is a recall or service bulletin.
you might want to sit down and write a clear description of what is wrong and post it with the performance, v6 or v8 boards.
good luck, and yes don't light it up not only is it dangerous it is arson.
