Message:
I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.2L 4x4.
The other day I started getting a check engine light. I went through a car wash the same day and not to long before this started happening. I had it checked and it waS:

P1762 Governor Pressure Sensor Improper Voltage

What should I start with when trying to fix this problem? I'd like to get this fixed myself rather than taking it to a garage or dealership. Any Suggestions?

Thanks

Forgot to mention that the guy i had check the code cleared it twice but it would come back once the truck started up. Then later that day when i was driving home the check engine light went off but now i'm only getting 14 mpg at 60mph when that should normaly be at least 16mpg. It feels sluggish also. Could the code have gone away and the problem still stayed or whats the deal?
